Description

Gain a basic understanding of box making using different techniques and design choices. Experiment with design choices to create a box for a specific purpose and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Explore and play with decoration techniques to jazz up simple boxes. Topics for the class will include designs for boxes and grain matching; mitered corners, box joints, and mortising; and veneering and decoration techniques.

Closed toe shoes required.

Wood 1 - Beginning class or prior wood experience is strongly recommended.
