Description
Create molds for casting iron and study the construction and operation of an iron cupola furnace! Bring your own project ideas to the first day of class and choose a pour date to set up and run the furnace. Each class will consist of a brief review of each participant’s individual project, a demonstration of techniques, and individual work time to prepare molds. This workshop will culminate in an iron pour at the end of the semester, all hands-on deck for the iron pour. This is a team effort!
