About this event
Description
Join us for a weekly Indiana Master Naturalist program as we dive into topics that will deepen your understanding of and connection to Indiana natural resources. The IMN series will provide an opportunity to learn about the ecology of Indiana, connect with volunteer organizations, and meet others with shared interests. Class topics will include tree identification, geology, insects, birds, fish and macros, wildflowers, wetlands and people and resources. Most classes will meet at the Earth Discovery Center in the main exhibit hall (bird session meets at the Ornithology Center) and will usually include outdoor activities.
Program meets a total of ten Thursdays, 6pm-9pm, July 17th-September 18th, and includes an orientation session, wrap up session, and eight educational sessions focused on Indiana Natural Resources.
The Indiana Master Naturalist program is governed by an advisory council with participation from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Purdue Cooperative Extension Service, Resource Conservation and Development Councils, Soil and Water Conservation Districts, City and/or County Park Departments, and Indiana Master Naturalist Alumni. To find out more about the IMN program please visit https://www.in.gov/dnr/state-parks/programs/indiana-master-naturalist-program/
