Our talented instructor will guide you along the way as you gain confidence in drawing alongside a studio of creative peers!
Topics Covered
This class will give you the opportunity to study pen drawings by masters from the 19th century to today; From North America and Europe to East Asia. - they mastered the lines and patterns capable of bringing subjects to life on paper. You will learn how to create a variety of lines to give the illusion of depth, form, and texture. Techniques introduced will be Contour drawing incorporating line weight, cross-contour drawing, hatching and cross-hatching. You will have the opportunity to draw a variety of subjects including still-life, flowers, landscapes, animals and people. Students are encouraged to bring in physical materials and photos that they want to draw from.
