About this event

Description

**This workshop is part of the Indy Art Center's Veterans Art Day event and is specifically for veterans, service members, military family members (18+), and caregivers.**
Try your hand at glassblowing in this fun and festive workshop. Learn the basics of working in a hot shop while you create your own one-of-a-kind glass pumpkin. Celebrate the season with a handmade keepsake that lasts long after the leaves have fallen. No experience needed!
Finished artwork will be available for pickup at a later date.
Safety Requirements*Please wear a cotton shirt, long pants, and closed-toe shoes. Sandals and shorts are not permitted. Avoid synthetic fabrics. Bottled water is recommended, as the studio can get quite warm.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, please note that this workshop takes place in a high-heat studio and involves the use of tools and other equipment that require adequate vision, hand-eye coordination, and gripping strength with both hands. Participants must be at least 56 inches tall to safely see into the furnace.
If you have any accessibility needs or concerns about physical requirements, please reach out ahead of time. We're always happy to talk through options and see how we can support your participation for the best experience possible.
