In this program, participants will create their own journal in a guided crafts session led by EDC naturalist Kahli Brown. Then, with their newly made book, participants will then learn the basics of nature journaling with OC naturalist Zach Dankert, who will lead the group on a hike through the woodland surrounding the Earth Discovery Center. In this start-to-finish program, participants will not only learn about the history of written records, but also learn how we can utilize the written word to enhance our mindfulness, attention, and quality of life.
All materials will be provided but participants are also welcome to bring in their own additional decorative paper to use if they wish. Park gate entry fee is included with the cost of the program.
Participants who are 15-17 years old need to be registered and attend with a registered adult.
