Go with the flow! In this class you'll be guided by your intuition and mood as you experiment with brushstrokes, layering techniques, and textures, painting with the power of your spirit rather than your powers of observation.

Topics Covered

This class will explore the intuitive painting movement and its history. Emphasis will be placed on building paintings with many layers and a variety of marks. The instructor will offer weekly prompts or techniques to inspire each layer. An introduction to the elements and principles of design will help influence your compositions. Lessons will include basic color mixing, ideas for mark making tools, how to bring inspiration into a painting, and visual symbolism.

***This class welcomes everyone, however if you have never painted before, you may enjoy starting with an acrylic basics or color mixing class before taking Intuitive Painting.
