Description
There's more to creating great digital photos than point and shoot. Ready to move beyond auto mode and really focus on your camera skills? Our beginning digital photography class will teach you the basics of shooting in manual, so you can take control of your settings and snap pics like a pro!
Topics Covered
Topics in this class include exposure, ISO, shutter speed, aperture, and the working relationship between them. Explore elements and principles of design, that will serve as cornerstones to developing interesting compositions and making creative choices with the mechanics of your camera. Instruction includes lectures, demonstrations, and creative assignments.
Supplies
Students are encouraged to bring their own digital cameras to class. On the first day of class, the instructor is happy to offer advice on a camera to buy. A new digital camera can cost anywhere from $700 to $20,000. Used cameras can get as low as $200-$300.
If you don’t have a camera of your own, we have Panasonic Lumix G7 mirrorless cameras to use while in class.
