Description
In this class we will explore the idea that sculpture is whatever the artist of the three-dimensional work believes it to be. This means that we will not be bound by the traditional method, that there is only one solution, one material and one process. The opportunities to experiment are limitless. The class's first meeting is when you can choose to have a solid idea of the piece or pieces you want to accomplish or you can come and discuss it with everyone and develop it at that time. It will then be that you define the processes and materials that you will be using. There will be handouts for technical references and in each class session there will be demonstrations to support the discussions and written material. Group discussions and spontaneous demos will be the result of interesting problems that will benefit the entire class
