Description
In this 7-week course, you'll learn the fundamentals of woodcarving using traditional hand tools like carving knives and palm gouges. Starting with the basics of whittling, you'll progress through a series of fun, seasonal projects designed to build your skills and confidence. Projects might include charming mini pumpkins, friendly turkeys, playful gnomes, and other delightful fall-themed designs. You'll gain hands-on experience with essential techniques, including tool safety, basic cuts, and an introduction to various carving styles such as chip carving, caricature, and flat-plane carving.
