Thanks to funding from the State of California, we are able to offer some fun two night camping trips to our residents. This program will introduce you to camping, and you don't need any camping equipment to be included in this program because we can provide it for you.
This community camping trip is open to everyone ages 8 and up and will focus on teaching participants about camping, the health benefits of the great outdoors and many tools to live a happier life. This program will also include a couple of meetings prior to the camping trip to learn about the wellness component. You will take an online happiness test at the beginning and end of the program to see if you were able to implement what was learned and improve your overall well-being. This program funded by the Outdoor Equity Grants Program, created through AB 209 and administered by California State Parks, Office of Grants and Local Services.
NOTE: We have limited transportation available upon request for participants who face transportation obstacles. This is on a first-come first-served basis. Spots are not guaranteed.
