Description
This is a social group for LGBTQ elders to come together, share stories, and find community. We meet every Wednesday afternoon. On the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays we socialize and sometimes invite guest speakers. On the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays we watch a movie or documentary on LGBTQ topics and have a discussion afterwards. In addition, we organize social events outside of our regular meetings and do outreach in the community, sharing our stories and experiences with other local groups. We also support the LGBTQ Iowa Archives and Library through collecting oral histories and gathering materials for the archive.
