About this event

Description

The Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program (AFAP) is a community-based, group program that uses a variety of water-based exercises to increase physical activity among adults with arthritis. Classes include a wide area of movements designed to increase range of motion and muscle strength while reducing fatigue and stiffness. Classes build in intensity from gentle to moderate to increase function and confidence in participants state of wellbeing. Participants do not need to know how to swim to participate in AFAP.
Please note the location of your class when enrolling.
Please check in with customer service when you arrive and head to the pool deck. Participants should check in with instructor to be checked in on class roster.
Classes can be cancelled due to instructor availability, weather, or pool conditions. Please check the Rainout Line (extension 40) for day-of updates. A direct link to register for Rainout Line updates can be found at icgov.org/pools.
