Did you know nursing homes are rated by the government? Come to this 30-minute presentation and learn the basics of how the government rates U. S. nursing homes and how to track down information online. Immediately following the presentation, University of Iowa researcher, Mercedes Bern-Klug and student Ivy Hamilton will be hosting a focus group. Anyone who attended the presentation can choose to participate in the 30 minute focus group. The purpose of the focus group is to learn what the public thinks about how and what the government communicates about nursing homes called "Special Focus Facilities". You are welcome to attend the presentation even if you do not wish to be a part of the focus group.Presenter: Mercedes Bern-Klug
