Description

In this group we will try to master the grammatical and vocabulary skills necessary for reading and conversing in Spanish. It will be assumed that the members have at least some acquaintance with Spanish (this is why it’s “intermediate” rather than “beginning.”). While the ultimate goal is to create opportunities for conversing in Spanish this is a goal that is not easy to reach. Conversing in a foreign language is difficult, not so much because speaking a foreign language is so difficult in itself but rather because hearing with understanding, an essential component of conversation, is so difficult. Increasing familiarity with the language is the only secure path to this goal.
