About this event
Sometimes the simplest games conceal surprising depths. In this class, students will explore and analyze games that can be played with nothing more than everyday materials like seeds, stones, or paper. Once they've mastered the basics, we’ll push further, experimenting with twists and variations that open up new challenges. Along the way, students will uncover how mathematical thinking can help us navigate these games. From patterns and probabilities to logical reasoning and strategy, you may find that the math you already know becomes a powerful tool for discovering unbeatable strategies. By the end, you might find that mathematics and playfulness are often indistinguishable.
