Join the UMKC Conservatory Academy in partnership with Band of Angels for an open house Instrument Petting Zoo!

This event is open to students of all ages and levels. Student will have the opportunity to walk around our open house to a variety of stations that highlight different instruments. Each station will have a dedicated instructor who will talk and demonstrate the various instruments in this section. Students will also have the opportunity to try out instruments as they move from station to station.
Our Instrument Petting Zoo is geared towards students who are interested in beginning a musical instrument for the first time, students who are interested in adding a new area of study or students who are just interested in meeting the UMKC Conservatory Academy staff and teachers.
Tuition for this event includes the open house and a single 30-minute sample lesson in any area the student would like (limit 1 sample lesson per person).
Stations will include:

• Piano
• Guitar/Ukulele
• Harp
• Brass
• Strings
• Winds

Stations will not be available for voice, percussion or composition. However, students may choose any of those areas for their sample lesson.
Location: Academy Annex (5215 Rockhill Rd, KCMO, 64110)

Parking: Parking is free on Saturdays at the UMKC Campus. There is limited parking available behind the Academy Annex Building. We suggest students park across the street at the Rockhill Parking Garage.
Cost: $25 per student (parents accompanying a child do not need to register)
