Learn to draw in this fun and informative six-week workshop where you will be introduced to a variety of materials including graphite, charcoal and ink, while learning core drawing skills. This workshop will help you feel comfortable with the materials covered and give you tools you can use for future two-dimensional projects. Students are encouraged to keep an ongoing notebook. Additional materials cost between $150-$175. A list will be provided by the instructor prior to the first session. I attended several of June’s drawing workshops and found her to be a terrific instructor who is helpful, motivating, and approachable. I learned many new techniques in a fun and interactive class. Though I was a complete beginner with zero drawing experience among classmates with a wide range of experiences, she managed to make all of us feel comfortable and motivated. The group became a supportive community and June's tips, tools, exercises, and encouragement were just what I needed to feel really “launched” into a new passion. I have painted for decades, but I wanted to re-visit some basic instruction in the principles and mediums of drawing. I was not disappointed.  June is a clear and enthusiastic instructor who offers demonstrations, interesting exercises and fun homework assignments. I recommend this class to beginners who want an introduction to drawing as well as to artists who want motivation and/or a re-entry into drawing techniques and ways to use drawing mediums. -J.
