Singers from across the country are invited to this collaborative study in music and rejuvenation of the soul at Lakeside Chautauqua, a perfect retreat along the shores of Lake Erie. The festival, titled ‘Creation: In Faith, Through Music,’ features Dan Forrest’s new oratorio CREATION with conductor Michael Shirtz. Special sessions on music and faith will be led by Dr. Deforia Lane at 1:30 p.m., Monday, July 21 & Tuesday, July 22. Full schedule details can be found at lakesideohio.com/choralfestival2025. Registrants, ages 13+ and of all experience levels, will rehearse for three days as the Chautauqua Festival Chorus. The Choral Festival culminates with a concert, titled ‘CREATION: Concert Suite,’ featuring the chorus and a chamber orchestra, at 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 22 in Hoover Auditorium. The registration fee includes festival music, access to special sessions, rehearsals, dinner on Tuesday, and the concert performance. The last day to register is Tuesday, July 1. Singers have the option to purchase their own music at beckenhorstpress.com/creation/. Choirs and singers attending as a group of 6 or more people should contact registration@lakesideohio.com for the group registration rate, which is $45/singer. NOTE: Admission and parking to Lakeside are not included in the Chautauqua Choral Festival registration fee for participants. Admission and parking fees include admittance to the Lakeside grounds, as well as access to evening entertainment in Hoover Auditorium, the pool, wellness center, Lakeside Wooden Boat Show & Plein Air Art Festival and a variety of religious, educational, cultural and recreational opportunities. Parking within the gates of Lakeside is limited. Festival attendees are encouraged to park in the Danbury School Parking Lot or South Gate Parking Lot. A shuttle is provided from the South Gate Parking Lot.
