Students in Level 2 should have the basic skills from Level I (Beginner) and have passed both the land and water course tests within the last three years. Level 2 focuses on gaining experience and confidence on Lakeside’s Flying Jr. and other assorted sloops in open water with full command of the sailboat. Upon successful completion of the class and exam, you will be considered at Skipper 2. Celeste Williams, a U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Marine Master Captain, sailing teacher veteran and co-founder of the Lakeside Sailing Center leads this programs.
