This intermediate Sailing class runs Monday-Thursday from 8:30-10:15 a.m. Level II participants should already know how to rig a sailboat and be able to handle a boat on all points of sail on their own. This class builds on the basics with students learning the finer points of boat handling and sail theory. There is an emphasis on developing confidence for independent sailing and learning currents, weather, racing rules of sailing and more. All participants must pass a water comfort check on the first day. New sailors are invited to practice their skills by joining the "Friday Flotilla" from 8:15 a.m. through 12:30 p.m. following course completion.  The event begins with camaraderie, beverages and an open grill at the Sailing Center from 8:15 - 9 a.m.  Sailors decide together a nearby destination and depart at 9:15 a.m.  Instructors accompany the group for safety. Estimated return is between noon and 12:30 p.m.
