About this event
Pastels made of pigment have been utilized for hundreds of years to create colorful images with matte finishes. This class will introduce students to using pastels to develop vibrant still-lifes. Through hands-on instruction, students can learn how to build up vibrancy through blending colors using soft chalk pastels. Historic examples, such as the work of Degas, will provide additional inspiration for developing color and light. All experiences levels welcome, but ideal for artists wanting to try a new medium!
