About this event
This partial semester class will introduce relief style printmaking, made by carving shapes into a plate. Studying the styles and techniques of both historic and contemporary printmakers, students will be challenged to identify characteristics and styles, in order to then develop their own unique compositions. With two linoleum blocks to carve, this class will allow students to expand their printmaking skills with line, shape, patterns, and form - while also learning a bit about art history too! All experience levels are welcome. The printmaking studio utilizes non-toxic materials; all students are asked to review the 2025-26 printmaking studio guidelines (provided upon registration) ahead of their first class in the space.
