Description
Registration for the Outdoor Education Center's Umbrella Match for handguns on July 22nd & 26th, 2025. This match will be offered on two dates - attend on whichever day works best for your schedule (Tuesday or Saturday).
This is a three-match series open to pistols from all manufacturers. The course of fire will be the same as the GSSF Indoor League Series.
This is the second match for this series. Competitors must shoot in two out of the three available matches (June, July, August) to be eligible for prizes. August 19th & 23rd are the scheduled dates for the third match.
Competitors may shoot up to 6 divisions - Centerfire Stock, Centerfire Unlimited, Centerfire Single Stack/Revolver, Rimfire Stock, Rimfire Unlimited, and Rimfire Revolver. For division descriptions, see below. First entry is $20, second is $10, and third through sixth (each) is $5. Secondary entries in the same division are $5 each and only count as additional chances in the prize drawings.
This match will follow GSSF's 'Original' course of fire for all Stock and Unlimited divisions and 'Option E' for Single Stack/Revolver divisions. For target, distance, rounds, and timing specifications, see PDF under More Information.
Schedule:
Tuesday, July 22nd: Check in available starting at 1 pm; check in closes at 6:30 pm.
Saturday, July 26th: Check in available starting at 8 am; check in closes at 11:30 am.
Preregister to schedule a check in (squadding) time. Competitors will otherwise be squadded according to arrival time.
PRIZES
A top prize package that includes a pair of Bluetooth earmuffs, an Annual Pass - Indoor Firearm Individual, and range bag will be awarded in a random prize drawing after completion of all three matches. A ticket in the drawing will be generated for every competitor's first division entry and/or secondary division entry, once they have shot the same entry for a minimum of two out of the three matches.
For each division, ONLY the first entry shot will be placed in each month's match result rankings. Secondary division entries are not ranked and cannot replace a primary score. Monthly ranking results will be provided after each match.
For final series results, any competitor with two or more 'first' entries per division will have their top two division scores averaged for rank.
Shirts or hats will be awarded for the top competitor in each division (Centerfire Stock, Centerfire Unlimited, Centerfire Single Stack/Revolver, Rimfire Stock, Rimfire Unlimited, and Rimfire Revolver) and special recognition categories Woman, Senior (55+), and Junior (<18) in the two Stock divisions.
Additional prizes may be awarded by random drawing.
DIVISIONS
Participants may shoot more than one pistol at each event. The course of fire may be shot more than once per pistol (additional fees apply). Competitors may shoot an official entry in all of the divisions. Any additional entries per each division will count for additional entries of the random drawing, but not for the official ranking results.
Centerfire Stock
Pistols are considered to be Stock if all firearm components are or ever have been available from their manufacturer and have post and notch sights. Centerfire calibers only. Additional allowable modifications are specified below:
- Hogue-Grip type sleeves, A-Grip panels, skateboard tape or other grip-enhancing materials that do not materially alter the function of the stock firearm
- Slide and barrel stripping and/or refinishing
- Grip extenders only on subcompact and slim-line models
- Aftermarket replacement non-metallic base plates on magazines
- Post and notch sights (partridge sights) excluding any sight requiring slide modifications. Please note that fiber-optic and express sights are approved.
Any combination of manufacturer produced firearm parts that do not, in the sole opinion of the Range Master, result in a significant competitive advantage in the stock division are safe to utilize.
Centerfire Unlimited
Centerfire calibers only. The following modifications will necessitate placement of the firearm in the Unlimited Class:
- Any non-post and notch sights including, but not limited to, Ghost Ring or laser, electronic and optical sights.
- Wrap-around grip sleeves on magazines
- Aftermarket component parts and barrels
- Recoil spring guide/recoil reducer assemblies
- Aftermarket extended slide stop levers
- Firing pins (modified/aftermarket)
- Connectors (modified/aftermarket)
- Metallic magazine well funnels or slugs
- Lights or other barrel weights
- Any modification deemed by the Range Master to create an unfair competitive advantage
Centerfire Single Stack/Revolver
Centerfire calibers only. Pistols are considered to be Single Stack/Revolver if all firearm components fall within the same specifications as in the Centerfire Stock division, and are semi-automatic action with a single stack magazine or are a revolver.
Rimfire Stock
Pistols are considered to be Rimfire Stock if all firearm components fall within the same specifications as in the Centerfire Stock division, and are semi-automatic action that fires rimfire ammunition.
Rimfire Unlimited
Pistols are considered to be Rimfire Unlimited if all firearm components fall within the listed modifications as in the Centerfire Unlimited division, and are semi-automatic action that fires rimfire ammunition.
Rimfire Revolver
Pistols are considered to be Rimfire Revolver if all firearm components fall within the same specifications as in the Centerfire Stock division, and are revolver action that fires rimfire ammunition.
