Description

Celebrate California Native Oak Day with Naturalist Candace and a guided oak tree hike starting at the Reservable Picnic Area 5035 Arroyo Rd. Oak Hike Bingo cards will be provided for each participant and prizes handed out for completed a bingo cards. Expect a moderate level of difficulty as we hike up an incline on Patterson Ranch Trail for the first half of the hike (the beginning portion of the trail), followed by decline on the way back. Pack a snack, lunch, water, and anything else you might need for exploring the oak woodland savannah at Sycamore Grove Park. Hike will happen rain or shine but cancelled if weather conditions are dangerous. If hike cancelled, an oak tree related craft, cooking with acorns, stories and other games/activities will be offered.
