What is Adventure Guides?

With a little help from mother nature and dad by their side, kids (K-5th grade) will learn how to build, strengthen, and nurture healthy relationships through challenging and fun outdoor activities.
This link is for registration in the Westchester Adventure Guides program, which is required before signing up for any additional specific events.
Adventure Guides launches dads and their children (K-5th grades) on a journey of discovery, with the child as the explorer and the parent as the guide. The program emphasizes the YMCA's belief that parental involvement plays a vital and positive role in a child's development and sense of well-being. Adventure Guides is a wonderful opportunity to build, strengthen, and nuture positive relationships between dads and their kids and also other dads and kids in the program. The program offers opportunities to bond through fun activities such as overnight camping trips, local outings, and meet-ups where dads and kids engage in games, crafts, songs, skits and outdoor activities.
