Description

This is the second class in a hands-on cooking series created specifically for individuals living with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). Held at the UW Health Learning Kitchen at East Madison Hospital, these engaging classes will help you build confidence in kidney-friendly cooking, meal planning, and grocery shopping.

All age groups are welcome! Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

In this class, we will be demonstrating the following recipes:

• Marinated Tofu with Chimichurri Sauce
• Roasted Root Vegetables
• Cinnamon Baked Apples
• Ginger Pear Holiday Mocktail

During class, attendees will participate in a hands-on activity and have the opportunity to sample the demonstrated recipes.

I understand that classes offered by The Learning Kitchen will involve the use of kitchen equipment including, but not limited to, knives, blenders, ovens, and stovetop. I understand that I assume the risk of participation including the risk of injury or loss that may arise during my participation.
I understand The Learning Kitchen is not an allergen-free facility. It is my responsibility to determine if any known allergens could pose a risk and to notify The Learning Kitchen staff of any emergency medical information and/or food allergies/dietary restrictions. All such risks are known and appreciated by me. I hereby declare that I have no known physical or medical condition that would endanger me or others during participation and/or viewing nutrition programs in The Learning Kitchen.
In consideration for being permitted by The Learning Kitchen to participate in classes/programs offered, I agree that the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority shall not be held liable for any damages and/or injuries arising from my participation in classes/programs offered by The Learning Kitchen and hold harmless the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority, its staff members, officers, directors, and agents from any and all claims, suits, or losses arising in any way from my participation.
