Step into the rich agricultural and cultural history of Marana with Roots & Vines, a guided walking tour through the scenic gardens, orchard, and vineyard at Marana Heritage River Park. Learn about the region’s farming traditions, the people who shaped the land, and the deep connection between agriculture and local heritage. Along the way, discover the stories behind the crops, the significance of the Santa Cruz River, and how this land has sustained communities for generations. You will also get to sample and take-home ripe fruit from the orchard. Perfect for history buffs, nature lovers, and anyone looking to connect with the roots of Marana.For your safety and comfort:
- Wear closed-toe shoes
- Bring water
- Consider sun protection
- We will be walking approximately one mile total with lots of stops and breaks
Important Notes:
- Time: 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM
- Dress: Clothing suitable for being outside
- Water: Bring a water bottle
- Pets are not permitted. Service Dogs are OK
