The CYC Varsity Competitive program is for experienced rowers who are ready to take their training to the next level. With a focus on transformative personal growth and the pursuit of excellence, this program supports CYC’s mission to become the premier sculling program in the nation. Athletes train Tuesday through Thursday afternoons (4:15–6:30 PM) and Saturday and Sunday mornings (6:30-9:00am), with additional individual workouts during the academic year. A summer training program is also available. Rowers in this program typically compete in 5–10 regattas per year. CYC athletes have earned numerous national medals and gone on to row at top universities, including Harvard and Yale. Progression: Coaches may use judgement to assess whether Varsity Competitive is the correct level for your athlete. If you have questions about program selection, please don't hesitate to contact us. Additional Notes: Members of the Varsity Competitive squad must also register as CYC members (junior memberships are $250 per trimester and are collected via a separate system).
