About this event
The Robotics Club offers students a hands-on opportunity to design, build, and program robots while applying skills in coding, mechanical engineering, and documentation. Now in its fourth year, the club welcomes students who are eager to bring their classroom knowledge or personal interests to life through robotics. Students are expected to have—or be willing to develop—skills in programming (C or Python), engineering design, and technical writing. Many members join the club to deepen their understanding of STEM concepts or explore areas they’re passionate about. The BIM Robotics Team competes annually in the Botball Tournament, held each spring in the DC/Virginia area. This competition focuses on autonomous robots that are fully pre-designed and pre-programmed by student teams to complete a series of complex tasks. If you're interested in real-world problem-solving, team collaboration, and autonomous robotics, this is the club for you!
