Woodland Chess Club is open to all 1st thru 8th grade beginner, Intermediate, and advanced players. Students are immersed in the exciting, educational and mind-developing game of chess in an engaging and challenging environment. This is an exciting and fun-filled club where action, activities, and achievement go hand in hand. If you want to learn chess or improve your chess game, this is the place for you. Chess Club is taught by Rhodes College students and recent graduates who must exhibit chess ability, skill, enthusiasm, play actively, possess communicative-child friendly skills and excellent moral character.
