Recess for Adults - Summer Series

Not your average sports league - this is recess reimagined.

Join the City of Mesa's award-winning program, Recess for Adults, where fun, fitness, and friendship come together in a rotating lineup of games and challenges. Each week features a new sport or activity, giving you the chance to try something new, meet new people, and just play - no experience needed!

Kickoff Week Special!

Week 1: We're starting the Summer with an Amazing Race-style scavenger hunt through Downtown Mesa - a fast paced, team-based adventure full of fun surprises.
PLUS: For the first week only, you can bring up to 3 friends for free to join the fun and see what Recess is all about!
Week 2: Video Game night @ Eagles Community Center
Week 3: Indoor Bowling @ Eagles Community Center
Week 4: Batting Cages @ Arizona Batting Club
Week 5: Spike Ball @ Jefferson Rec Center

How It Works:

• Ages: 18+
• Skill level: All levels welcome - no pressure, just play
• Format: New sport/activity each week (e.g., dodgeball, kickball, relay races, minute to win it challenges)
• Structure: Mini tournament-style games, self officiated
• Sign up: As an individual or duo (teams are mixed up weekly)
• Post-game meetups: Join us at local Mesa hangouts after each session
• Locations: Vary weekly but always within City of Mesa limits
