About this event
Instructor: Sherry Corbin If you can knit and purl, you can add your own custom designs with Ladder Back Jacquard! This technique lets you manage long floats in colorwork without catching or twisting the yarn—and the results are stretchy, smooth, and free of those pesky color peeks on the front side. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to begin, work, and end “ladders,” as well as how to add ladder lines to an existing chart. We’ll also compare Ladder Back Jacquard to other popular techniques like intarsia, stranded knitting, double knitting, and almost-double knitting. Bring a set of knitting needles (any size) and at least two colors of yarn, and get ready to take your knitting to the next level. Sherry Corbin retired to Maine over 20 years ago and has been happily immersed in yarn ever since. She’s taught a wide range of fiber arts and still loves sharing new techniques with fellow knitters. Join Sherry for a relaxed and creative dive into this modern method for making your knitwear truly one-of-a-kind.
