Audition to be part of PYT's "Stories on Stage" repertory company for our 2024-2025 season productions. Stories on Stage is an accelerated acting program for grades 6-12. Video auditions must be submitted by 12pm on September 7. Prepare and record a 1 minute comic monologue and submit via email to auditions@pytnet.org. NOTE: PYT offers video auditions as an option for anyone who is unavailable to attend audition weekend in person. However, our casting team vastly prefers seeing actors audition in person to best understand their talents and assign an ideal role. Shows will be: “Clever Jack Takes the Cake” Performing Oct. 10-11, 2025, Directed by Bill Olson* “When Santa Was a Baby” Performing Dec. 5-6, 2025, Directed by Caitlyn DeRouin* “The Adventures of Pinocchio” Performing Jan. 16-17, 2026, Directed by Stefan Fisher* “Martina the Beautiful Cockroach” Performing Feb. 13-14, 2026, Directed by Beth McClelland “Hansel & Gretel” Performing Apr. 24-25, 2026, Directed by Holly Smolik* “Dragons Love Tacos” Performing May 15-16, 2026, Directed by Jen Tipton *WORLD PREMIERE adaptations Rehearsals will be held Tuesdays and Sundays from 6:30-9:00pm at the PYT Studios. Performances will be on the SecondStage of the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. Each show is a limited cast opportunity, but actors are eligible to be cast in any production for which they are available based upon a conflict calendar submitted prior to auditions. Generally, up to 2 conflict dates for a production are allowed to be eligible for casting for that production. As part of PYT’s community outreach, we present special weekday morning performances of our productions for school groups in the area. Each SOS show will be performed at 9:30am, 11am and a tentative 12:30pm overflow performance on the Friday morning of the performance weekend. Cast members should be prepared to miss school to perform.
