Ahoy, mateys! Aaaaare you up for a new paddling challenge? Hit the high seas of Whalon Lake to see if the pirate life is really for you. We will need all hands on deck to join a crew, compete in buccaneer games and search for buried treasure. Up on your pirate slang? Paddling skills? Quick at deciphering maps? Yo ho ho, this paddle will separate the scallywags from the seadogs.

Pirate attire is encouraged, as well as wearing shoes and clothes that can get wet. Don’t forget your sunscreen, sunglasses and a water bottle. Previous kayaking experience is required as this is a recreational program and not an instructional paddling program. All equipment is provided, including personal flotation devices.

This program will take place on a mowed lawn accessed by paved pathways, and kayaks will be launched from a paved boat ramp.
