Description

Experience Riverview Farmstead like never before. First paddle the DuPage River upstream and float back into twilight catching the first sounds and sights of the wild nightlife. Then we will venture on land to the Riverview barn to discover more about bat diversity and reveal who is overhead using bat-vocalization detecting equipment. End the night by a cozy fire and roast hot dogs and smores for a late-night treat.

Wear shoes and clothes that can get wet, and don’t forget your sunscreen, sunglasses and a water bottle. All equipment is provided, including personal flotation devices. Previous kayaking experience is required as this is a recreational program and not an instructional paddling program. The event takes place outdoors on uneven natural terrain.

Ages 16 and older. Participants younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
