Description
As winter closes in and the nights get longer, imagine what life was like for people in an earlier time before electricity, when Will County was dominated by prairie grasses. Discover three generations of the Clow family and their Riverview Farmstead by lantern, just as they would have seen it on dark November nights. A naturalist will share stories of life back then as we examine the inside of the 19th-century buildings and explore the grounds of the preserve. This program takes place outdoors on crushed limestone trails and indoors with some uneven surfaces.
Ages 12 and older.
