Registration for this event will close at midnight on March 19, 2026. Welcome to Astronomy Club, where stargazers embark on a thrilling journey through the universe! This Girl Scout club is designed to spark curiosity and foster a love for astronomy among budding scientists. Activities will vary each month. Attend once or sign up for every month. This month, discover how light pollution affects our view of the night sky and disrupts the natural rhythms of wildlife and ecosystems. Together we will explore ways to reduce light pollution. Then head home and honor Earth Hour, a global event where people across the globe turn off their lights for one hour (8:30 PM-9:30 PM). This is a day and does not include an overnight. This program is designed for troops, families, or individuals with an adult chaperone. Please follow Girl Scout ratios from Safety Activity Checkpoints.. This is NOT a drop off event.
