If you are someone who loves the outdoors and is passionate about helping others grow their outdoor skills then this train the trainer session might be perfect for you. Work with Council staff as they train you on how to train other adults in outdoor skills including how to teach the in-person session of the outdoor adult training which includes knowledge and skills in outdoor cooking, knot tying, fire building, and camping in different accommodations and environments. Once trained, outdoor trainers will be asked to commit to running a minimum of 4 outdoor adult trainings throughout the year at Girl Scout camp properties, Gathering Places, or off-site locations. Prerequisites: Adults interested in becoming an outdoor trainer must have completed all of their outdoor adult trainings (Cabin Camping, Fire Safety and Building, Outdoor Cooking, Rustic Camping) and have at least three years of camping experience under their belt.
