Cooking Matters™ classes provide a culinary-enhanced nutrition education program that teaches participants how to prepare meals that are healthy, tasty and low in cost. Each lesson engages participants in hands-on meal preparation, practical nutrition tips and food budgeting skills. You will learn healthy food choices, and to prepare healthy meals and snacks on a limited budget. Class highlights include: lessons featuring hands-on learning and recipe preparation, group discussions, tasty food samples, free recipe book, and a bag of groceries to prepare a dish from each week’s class at home. Due to popularity, priority will be given to those who have not previously registered for this class.
