About this event
Step into the pages of A Place to Hang the Moon by Kate Albus in this heartwarming and creative book party workshop for 3rd–5th graders! Led by Curve Language Arts teacher Kendra Andrus, this one-day event brings the story to life through thoughtful discussion, interactive games, and hands-on activities that celebrate the courage, imagination, and resilience of three unforgettable siblings. Together, we’ll dive into the world of William, Edmund, and Anna as they search for a true home during World War II. Through themed crafts, storytelling challenges, and cozy, bookish fun (think tea-time snacks and letter-writing like the characters!), students will explore the book’s big themes of family, belonging, and the power of stories. Whether you're already in love with the book or just starting to read, this workshop is the perfect blend of literary fun, friendship, and creativity—an unforgettable story adventure! Students will need to read the book or listen to the audio book before book club. **All workshops will include a break for lunch and outside play with friends.
