Empower yourself with knowledge and confidence through our four-session Sex Education Workshop designed specifically for high school students. Meeting dates are September 5, 12, 19, and 26. This inclusive, fact-based series provides a safe, respectful space to learn, ask questions, and have open conversations about important topics that impact teens today. Each session covers a key area of sexual health and well-being: Anatomy & Reproduction – Understand how the body works and the basics of human reproduction. Healthy Relationships & Consent – Learn what makes a relationship respectful and how to recognize boundaries and practice clear, enthusiastic consent. STIs, Contraception & Safer Sex – Get the facts about preventing sexually transmitted infections, different types of contraception, and how to stay safe. Online Safety & Media Awareness – Explore how media and the internet shape ideas about sex, relationships, and body image, and learn tools for navigating digital spaces responsibly. This workshop is led by Emi Canahuati, a professor at Vanderbilt University and an AASECT Certified Sexuality Educator, who brings years of experience and a welcoming, engaging approach to this important subject. Through interactive discussions, activities, and real-life scenarios, students will leave each session better informed and prepared to make healthy, respectful choices in their relationships and lives.
