About this event
Join us for a vibrant and joyful celebration of Día de los Muertos in this hands-on workshop for K–5th graders, led by Curve art teacher Val Smith! Students will explore the rich traditions of this Mexican holiday through colorful art projects and delicious cooking activities. In the art studio, children will create bright and beautiful crafts inspired by traditional calaveras (skulls) and papel picado (cut paper banners), learning about the symbols and stories behind the holiday. In the kitchen, students will prepare a tasty treat connected to the celebration, engaging all their senses while honoring this meaningful cultural tradition. This workshop offers a fun, respectful, and creative way for young learners to connect with culture, family, and remembrance through art and food. **All workshops include a break for lunch and indoor/outdoor play.
