In this exciting workshop designed for K–5th grade students, participants will explore the wonders of the natural world through three engaging, interactive programs. THIS IS A ONE DAY WORKSHOP. Meet fascinating creatures up close in Animals All Around, where students encounter reptiles, amphibians, mammals, and birds while learning about their unique characteristics and habitats. Then, dive into stream science with Biodiversity, a program that uses live macroinvertebrates to help students discover how aquatic life can reveal the health of our water. Students will also get to explore real-world water quality testing through fun, hands-on activities. Finally, step into the role of environmental engineers in Invasive Plant Eradicators, where students learn about the impact of invasive species in wetlands and work together to design creative machines that help restore native habitats.
