This course is dedicated to the creation of miniature works of art for (optional) submission to the Academy's Miniature Show later this fall. Students will work in their preferred medium—Acrylic, Oil, Watercolor, Graphite, Pen-and-Ink, etc. The instructor will offer personalized guidance and constructive feedback based on each student's individual needs. We will explore the rich history of miniature painting and delve into the techniques that define this unique art form. While there are no specific prerequisites, students should be comfortable with their chosen medium and come prepared with all necessary materials. Students will bring all supplies needed to work with their medium of choice (Acrylic, Oil, Watercolor, Pencil, Pen-and-ink, etc.). This includes the appropriate supports, (paper, panel, canvas, gesso, etc.), brushes or other tools, medium, and visual resources (still life objects or photos).
