Through study of the structure of the human body, this class will enable students to capture the essence of the human figure and provide the confidence to express themselves within the figurative tradition. Working in clay from a life model, students will develop the skills of seeing, understanding, and reproducing the full human form in all its complexities. We will focus on close visual observation to help us analyze and sculpt what we see.
