Lengua y cultura gallega: rutas y raíces
Galicia, en la esquina Atlántica de la península ibérica, es una comunidad histórica con cultura propia, que sido un puente entre España, América y Portugal. Este curso es una introducción a la cultura gallega, sus raíces tradicionales, tal y cómo se recogen en la lengua y la música y las rutas modernas que la literatura y el cine han recorrido, siguiendo las trayectorias de los emigrantes y la literatura y el cine han recorrido, siguiendo las trayectorias de los emigrantes y exiliados de la comunidad. Prestaremos atención a la lectura atenta de textos en gallego, especialmente poemas y ficciones breves, que nos ayudarán a reconocer los rasgos característicos de la lengua y a familiarizarnos con las autoras y autores más relevantes de hoy.
Galicia, in the Atlantic corner of the Iberian Peninsula, is a historical community with its own culture, which has been a bridge between Spain, America and Portugal. This course is an introduction to Galician culture, its traditional roots, as reflected in the language and music, and the modern routes that literature and cinema have taken, following the trajectories of the community´s emigrants and exilés. We will delve into a close reading of texts in Galician, especially poems and short fictions which will help us recognize the characteristic features of the language and become familiarized with the most relevant contemporary authors.
