We’ll begin with the basics of conditioning and preparing your stems, then move into hands-on practice with shaping, trimming, and tying your own arrangements. You’ll learn techniques for wrapping and presenting bouquets with style, while also gaining tips to keep them fresh and long-lasting. Whether you’re gathering flowers for a celebration or simply to brighten your home, this class will give you the skills and confidence to create bouquets that feel both personal and professional. Please bring garden shears. All other materials will be provided. The Newark Arts Alliance will retain a $5 cancellation fee if a student withdraws from a class. Maria's passion for horticulture and floral artistry began ten years ago. What started as a gardening hobby soon flourished into a fulfilling career and a way to share joy with others. Today, Maria owns a local floral studio known for wedding/event florals, bouquets, and preserved décor. Her artistic flair and dedication to quality attract clients seeking unique floral designs. With 15 years of preschool teaching in her background, Maria blends practical experience with an imaginative teaching style.
