In this hands-on class, you’ll create a unique Poinsettia Swirl suncatcher just in time to decorate for the holidays. You'll be guided through each step of the process— foiling, soldering, and polishing—while gaining confidence with tools and techniques used in stained glass work. By the end of class, you’ll go home with a dazzling, sun-catching piece ready to hang in your window. No experience needed—all materials provided! Students will pay a $25 materials fee directly to the instructor The Newark Arts Alliance will retain a $5 cancellation fee if a student withdraws from a class. Maureen took her first glass class in 2004 to create a simple suncatcher—and she hasn’t stopped since. Over the past 20+ years, her love for glass has grown into a passion, evolving into a wide range of work including suncatchers, wind chimes, panels, and intricate stained glass lamps.
