1 Friday, June 13, 1:00 - 5:00 pm Portraits in Watercolor Taught by Sally Wilson, 18+ $ 44 Members / $ 48 Non-member Explore different approaches to painting portraits using watercolor. Students will provide atercolor paper, paints, brushes, palette. The should also bring several photos. Portraits look more natural if subject is NOT smiling, so my suggestion is to bring both: smiling and not smiling. Also, this is a long workshop so students should bring snacks. There will be a couple of 15 minute breaks to rest and/or critique student progress. The Newark Arts Alliance will retain a $5 cancellation fee if a student withdraws from a class. Sally has been teaching painting for several years to all ages. She works in watercolor, oil, and acrylic. When teaching art, Sally strives to bring out individual expression by drawing on the student's strengths and needs. Her "Watercolor and Wine" classes are especially popular with those who have never painted but always wanted to try! Sally also enjoys teaching portrait and figure classes.
